Hawaiian Kava

For years, Hawaiian Kava Powder from "Paradise Kava" has been getting great reviews at the Farmer's Markets. It's a highly potent and somewhat mild tasting organic kava and they blend of a few Hawaiian Cultivars, such as Mahakea, Hiwa and Mo'i make for an outstanding kava beverage.

Inspired to innovate and try new things, Paradise Kava created topical kava applications and solvent free Kava extract products made with locally Hawaiian grown chocolate, honey and macnuts.

This made Paradise Kava the only company of it’s kind to offer such a range of kava products in Hawai’i or anywhere else in the world. You can still find their Kava booth at the Hilo Farmer's Market where they maintain a permanent booth year round and meet with friends over a cup of Kava usually. Recently, they decided to 'throw our roots down' and started a Kava farm by first setting up a germ plasm repository for all remaining kava cultivars indigenous to Hawaii.

In preserving these 13 distinct cultivars of Kava, their hope is to create a small insulation against Kava diseases which have rendered some cultivars extinct in the past. We feel honored to be part of one of the most significant human-plant relationships in the history of the world; one where one seedless plant made the farmer’s involvement mandatory.
